Link has a station named Stadium. Trains from Bellevue never reach it. Stadium Station is on the 1 Line only. The 2 Line from Bellevue Downtown meets the 1 Line at International District/Chinatown, then heads north through Pioneer Square, Westlake and UW Station toward Lynnwood.
This is the first fall that schedule has been in place. Sound Transit opened the Crosslake Connection on March 28, 2026. That opening finished the 2 Line, so you can now reach Lumen Field, Husky Stadium and Climate Pledge Arena from Bellevue on a single train line. Every venue has its own exit, and the exits all work differently. One is a walk, one is right at the platform, and one is a transfer your ticket already covers.
Three Venues, Three Different Exits
The ride times below come from a single scheduled weekday trip on Sound Transit's 2 Line timetable for October 26, 2026.
| Venue | Get off at | From Bellevue Downtown | From South Bellevue | Last step |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Lumen Field | International District/Chinatown or Pioneer Square | 33 or 35 min | 24 or 26 min | Walk |
| Climate Pledge Arena | Westlake | 38 min | 29 min | Monorail, about 90 seconds |
| Husky Stadium | UW Station | Not in the sampled trip | Not in the sampled trip | Steps from the platform |
From East Main, that same trip took 30 minutes to International District/Chinatown, 32 to Pioneer Square and 35 to Westlake.
Sound Transit calls these frequencies an approximate guide. On weekdays, trains come about every 8 minutes from 5 to 9 a.m., every 10 minutes from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., and every 8 minutes again from 3 to 7 p.m. After that the gap is 10 minutes until 10 p.m., 12 minutes until 11 p.m., and 16 minutes from 11 p.m. to the last train. On Saturdays and Sundays, trains run about every 10 minutes until 10 p.m. and every 12 minutes after that. The wider late-evening gaps matter on the way home from a night game.
Lumen Field Sits Between Two 2 Line Stops
The Seahawks' transportation page names three nearby Link stations: Pioneer Square, International District/Chinatown and Stadium. If you board in Bellevue, two of those three are on your line, so you can skip the transfer to the 1 Line. Sound Transit's Lumen Field page calls International District/Chinatown a short walk from the stadium.
Two November dates count here:
- Monday, November 2: Bears at 5:15 p.m.
- Sunday, November 8: Cardinals at 1:25 p.m.
For November 8, Sound Transit lists special Sounder trips and extra T Line service. It lists Link as regular service. In other words, Bellevue riders get the normal weekend frequency after the game, which is about every 10 minutes until 10 p.m. The Sound Transit Seahawks guide says to allow extra time because trains and stations get busier around games. Lumen Field says it doesn't subsidize transit for ticket holders, so you pay the fare both ways.
The Eastgate Game-Day Bus Is Gone
For Husky games, the 2 Line now handles a trip that used to belong to a bus. UW's preview of the 2026 season, What's New at Husky Stadium in 2026, put it this way:
"UW's South Kirkland, Eastgate and Redondo Heights Park & Ride Express bus service will no longer operate in 2026 due to expanded Link light rail service."
UW points fans who used those park-and-rides to Link. It also lists added King County Metro service on several routes, including Route 255 from South Kirkland and Route 542 from Redmond Transit Center. None of the routes on that list starts at Eastgate. UW says University of Washington Station is "just steps from the stadium" and is served by both the 1 Line and the 2 Line. It also warns that trains and platforms can be crowded before and after games.
UW has two November home games left. Penn State plays on Saturday, November 7, and Indiana on Saturday, November 21. Both kickoff times were still listed as TBD on the official schedule. Driving is the costlier option. UW's single-game parking for those two games is $70, against $60 for the other five home games. A round trip on Link at the adult fare comes to $6.
Climate Pledge Is the One Trip Your Ticket Covers
Climate Pledge Arena works differently from the stadiums. On its transportation page, the arena says every guest at a publicly ticketed event gets a free public transit pass with the ticket. The pass is valid from two hours before doors open until two hours after the event, and it also works on the Monorail. Bellevue Downtown to Westlake was 38 minutes on the sampled trip, so a rider who leaves after the window opens still has plenty of time.
How the trip goes, by the arena's and the Monorail's own instructions:
- Get your event pass in the Kraken + CPA app before you leave home.
- Ride the 2 Line to Westlake. The arena recommends transferring to the Monorail there.
- Take Westlake exit A2 for the Monorail, choose Monorail in the app, and scan the QR code it shows.
- Ride about 90 seconds to Seattle Center.
The app matters more than it did a year ago. As of January 1, 2026, the Monorail stopped giving free transfers to riders who pay with ORCA E-purse. Its notice says Climate Pledge ticket holders can still get a free Monorail ticket through the Kraken + CPA app.
The Kraken have six home games in November:
| Date | Opponent | Puck drop |
|---|---|---|
| Wednesday, Nov. 4 | Calgary | 7 p.m. |
| Saturday, Nov. 7 | NY Rangers | 2 p.m. |
| Thursday, Nov. 19 | Vancouver | 6:40 p.m. |
| Monday, Nov. 23 | Anaheim | 6:40 p.m. |
| Wednesday, Nov. 25 | Chicago | 6:40 p.m. |
| Saturday, Nov. 28 | Edmonton | 7 p.m. |
Starting the Trip at South Bellevue
The table shows South Bellevue saving about nine minutes compared with boarding at Bellevue Downtown. It also has the most parking in the city. Sound Transit lists 1,524 spaces at the South Bellevue garage, 2704 Bellevue Way SE, served by Link and several bus routes. Parking at Sound Transit facilities is open 24 hours, and transit riders can stay up to 24 hours. Fees at selected Link park-and-rides begin in 2027, so parking there is still free this season.
The fare details are short. The adult 1 Line and 2 Line fare is $3 one way, and a Link day pass costs twice that. You need a ticket before you board. You can pay with ORCA, a contactless debit or credit card, or Transit GO. If you transfer within two hours on ORCA or contactless, your first fare counts toward the next leg.
November 7 and 8 Put Three Crowds on One Line
The busiest stretch of the month is a single weekend. On Saturday, November 7, the Kraken play the Rangers at 2 p.m. and the Huskies host Penn State with kickoff still TBD. Both crowds use the 2 Line from Bellevue. Hockey fans leave the train at Westlake, and football fans stay on to UW Station, which sits a few stops north on the same train. On Sunday, November 8, the Seahawks host the Cardinals at 1:25 p.m. Link runs its regular schedule that day while Sounder adds trips.
That makes three events in about 24 hours, all reached from Bellevue on one line. Sound Transit, UW and the arena each give the same advice to allow extra time. To catch the 2 p.m. puck drop on November 7, ride to Westlake. For the Cardinals game the next afternoon, get off at International District/Chinatown, one stop before Pioneer Square. Stadium Station isn't on either route.
For many people in Bellevue, being near a 2 Line station has become part of everyday life, on game days and the rest of the week too. If you're weighing that for your next home, or want to talk through which parts of Bellevue sit closest to the line, Carissa Saffel is happy to walk through it with you.
